The organisation Global design, development and manufacturing organization supplying an extensive range of electro-mechanical products. T/O in excess of $6 bn, with over 80 facilities in 16 countries.
This is a newly created position and offers exceptional career development for the right individual.
You will be targeted with running the manufacturing operations of a specific autonomous business unit with overall accountability for meeting customer expectations in terms of quality and delivery, sales and margin performance and driving forward lean manufacturing strategies within the area.
Through a framework of Team Leaders and Product Group leaders you will contribute to the strategic planning process of developing and implementing the operations strategy across the manufacturing unit. This will encompass:
•Motivating and performance management of your team
•Ensure demand is managed through maintenance of the MPS
•Management of supply chain and logistics issues
•Capacity and capability planning to meet customer requirements
•Implementation of Lean techniques and principles across manufacture
•Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and waste elimination through application of six sigma and defect analysis
•Optimization of business performance.
The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified or similar in an Engineering or Manufacturing related discipline with proven experience of achieving targets in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Excellent knowledge of lean principals and the latest manufacturing techniques coupled with demonstrable management experience essential.
The role is likely to suit an individual looking to take on an autonomous section of the business and maximize it's potential utlising their leadership, technical ability and tenacity.
