Manufacturing Manager required in South Wales to work on a new and exciting military vehicle programme.
Manufacturing Manager required in South Wales to work on a new and exciting military vehicle programme. The Manufacturing Manager will be in charge of a multi-functional manufacturing team including mechanical, electrical, assembly and test engineers whilst also taking responsibility for programme delivery to schedule within cost and quality targets. You will present at monthly financial reviews and risk reviews whilst ensuring Estimate to Complete forecasts are achieved. You will need to network with Business Unit Directors and have a proven background of exploiting LEAN principles. To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will have a proven track record of managing a successful manufacturing facility with fabrication, assembly and test departments and come from a manufacturing engineering background. You should have experience of low volume, high value production. Working knowledge of MRP systems and a strong background in driving supply chain performance will be required. Knowledge of manufacture of heavy vehicles or Armoured Fighting Vehicles would be a distinct advantage. Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment.
