My client is a world leader in high precision machining of downhole drilling equipment for the oil industry. Due to recent investment and expansion they have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their team
The role will be to develop/improve production methods and procedures;
Investigation of manufacturing challenges and identification of suitable solutions; Programming of CNC machine tools (some up to 10 meters in length) with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens and Fagor controls using the CAM system Edgecam.
Candidates should be qualified to HNC level in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related technical discipline and havet least 3 years experience in a high technology production environment.
A background in Continuous Improvement and knowledge of Kaizen principals is highly desirable as is the ability to work within a team, demonstrating good people skills.
The sucessful candidate must have skill in the following:-
CAM knowledge
Edgecam (Software)
Heidenhain TNC 426 / i530 (CNC Control)
Fanuc (CNC Control)
Fagor (CNC Control)
Milling knowledge with emphasis on applications and tooling.
Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
Continuous Improvement, lean techniques.
Experience in Vericut (Software),Solidworks (Software,Knowledge of programming Mill/Turn machining centres, Knowledge of programming lathes, Cutting Data, MS Office, Boring/Gundrilling is desirable but not essential
