City and guilds- Mech / Production engineering or suitable engineering background covering design, manufacturing and assembly principles.
Task Description:Main duties, Working in a small Supply Chain Configuration Team to oversee the introductions of MODS and COS, generation of Product Specifications and Bid Packs, Liaising with Client Manufacturing Department and supporting Internal Modification reviews, challenge manufacturing philosophy's and proposing technical solutions for improved manufacturing / design options cost, Interrogation of drawings and systems. Competence in Manufacturing of Assembles, Detail components.
Key Skills / Knowledge Required CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS (MUST HAVE) • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Competence in Manufacturing of Assembles, Detail components. • Proven manufacturing engineering skills, e.g. Detail design and assembly processes, machining, assembly methods, techniques, and tooling philosophies.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (DESIRABLE TO HAVE)
•Understanding of design process, Manufacturing Processes
•Commercial awareness
•Sound Verbal and written communications skills
•Awareness of Aerospace Quality Requirements including JAR 21 & ISO 9000 and appreciation of budgetary requirements
