The Manufacturing Engineer working in Assembly will be responsible for the following activities: -

Implementation of design and specification change into the manufacturing process.
Implement customer and internal condition of supply change into the manufacturing process.
Support the production areas on engineering issues.
Creation of build methodology using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Maintain an accurate Bill of Materials.
Identify tooling requirements and co-ordinate tooling changes, identifying Error proofing.
Involvement in Company Production Systems team initiatives.
Plan Non Conformance work.
Support the production areas on engineering issues
Analytical problem solving using tools such as 8D.
Internal and external Quality audit preparation
Identification of Health & Safety issues through Materials and Process utilisation

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (MUST HAVE)
A working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering Processes and Procedures including PEGS / SAP interpretation of engineering drawings, project management tools would be advantageous, although not essential.
The individual should have suitable relevant experience and be expected to be flexible, working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
The use of engineering computer systems such as PEGS / SAP essential.
Experience required in the use of MS Office applications.
Display a pro active approach and demonstrate the ability to work unsupported
The candidate must have a sound knowledge of assembly/production methods within an aerospace environment.

Understanding of how procedures interface with planning instructions, tooling and shop floor methods is essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be pro-active and able to work in a team environment with people from a variety of departments. They must show drive, determination and a will to succeed.
