Description
Our client, a Major Supplier of Components to the Aerospace Industry are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to be based in Bournemouth.
Role
Reporting to the Quality Engineering Manager and responsible for the following;
Process capability studies
Process optimisation and efficiency improvements
Establishing Six Sigma levels for machined parts
Machining root cause & corrective action
Qualifications/Experience
HNC or equivalent
5 years in a similar position
Good working knowledge of CNC Machining, up to & including 5 Axis NC programming
Good working knowledge of CAD/CAM packages, CATIA V5, AutoCAD or similar
Conversant with solid modelling techniques
Good working knowledge of Tool / Fixture Design / Cutter Geometry
Good understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Conversant with Lean tools & techniques including cellular manufacturing
Conversant with Six Sigma techniques, in particular Statistical Process Control
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products
