Manufacturing Engineer required for Aerospace Company. The role will be based in Yeovil. Salary up to £25,000 plus benefits.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer/Senior Engineer, this position involves; the interpretation of customer's technical specifications, from which process layouts, assembly kit schedules and manufacturing information sheets are both created and updated together with any tooling requirements.
The role requires an amount of shop liaison, resolving production and quality issues and implementing cost reductions through the use of Lean' manufacturing techniques throughout their planning procedures.
Applicants should ideally have served a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or be educated with appropriate qualifications, with relevant working knowledge in sheet metal manufacture and/or structural assembly techniques.
Knowledge of Catia would be an advantage.
