Our large Aerospace client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in the Far East - mainly China.

This position may be based in China and involves considerable travel to Asia, as well as occasional travel to Europe. This is a challenging but rewarding role, where progress can be seen on a weekly basis.

The successful candidate will:
' Be an integral part of the Strategic Sourcing team in China, providing technical machining expertise to develop and ensure the smooth transfer of product from Europe to China.
' Support and assist the implementation of all Strategic Sourcing activities within China.

Role Principal Responsibilities:
' Be a recognised expert resource for machining technical issues
' Assist in creating a robust manufacturing process
' Ensure the swift and timely completion of first article and production parts
' Provide technical support for a Quality Assurance lead to resolve and prevent machining or processing quality concerns
' Assist with the development of a key strategic supplier
' Establish and monitor machine routings
' Establish a strong working relationship with a strategic supplier
' Assist supplier manufacturing engineers by clarifying Goodrich machining requirements and specifications
' Work with local China team to meet programme objectives

From time to time the successful candidate may be required by the company to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.

Experience - External:
' Qualified as an Manufacturing Engineer - degree Level or equivalent work experience
' A thorough understanding of the following:
Machining & processing techniques
Manufacturing Drawings
Design and use of Manufacturing Tooling & Fixtures
' Some experience or knowledge of the following:
Programming and component proving out
New Product Introduction process
Current machined product
' IT literate - Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
' Have good time management skills
' Able to handle multiple tasks
' Self motivated and disciplined to achieve results
' Enjoy change and wish to experience new cultures
' Must have good interpersonal skills and be a strong team player

Flights & Accommodation included
Must be eligable for security Clearance
Language - Chinese is preferred but not essential
Location: Far East - mainly based in China
