This position is based at their smart, medium sized manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire and due to a strong order book and continued market success, this progressive company are seeking a tenacious Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer to undertake a pivotal role in support of manufacturing operations.
Acting as right hand person to the Production Manager, the focus of this position is lean / continuous improvements to achieve increased production output figure forecast for the next twelve months. There is considerable opportunity for a Production Engineer with a background in lean / six sigma / continuous improvements to make a real tangible difference within manufacture as no real drive has been made to implement lean systems in the past.
The successful candidate will have the ability to identify areas for change and then project manage the implementation of these initiatives through to successful introduction and subsequent maintenance. This change management is full endorsed by senior management.
The ideal candidate will have several years Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering experience within a mechanical or elec/mech manufacturing environment, coupled with an appreciation of lean tools and initiatives such as Six Sigma, Kaizan, DFM, SPC, 5S, FMEA's etc.
