Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen within this leading engineering company who design and manufacture consumer products into a wide range of industries for a Production/Manufacturing Engineer with a good practical background. Employing over 300 people our client is accessible from most areas in the East Midlands and Staffordshire.
THE ROLE
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the development and improvement of all shop floor production processes and equipment. You will ensure that all tooling and maintenance is planned using PPM or TPM, as well as liasing with sub-contractors on a regular basis. This role is a hands on role however their will be a large amount of process improvement and analysis work.
THE CANDIDATE
You will need to be a strong hands on engineer from a tooling, maintenance, production or manufacturing background with strong improvement skills. You may have come from an apprenticeship background or similar or even from a more varied educational route such as a HND or Degree, however the key requirement is someone with solid shop floor improvement skills and the desire to use these skills and progress your career.
