Want to work for a leading highways contractor?
We are currently looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work on a long term framework agreement (5yr plus) in the North West of England. The contracts will range from new build to maintenance of carriageways in the Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire area.
As a MQS you will be responsible to the commercial manger and will play a key role within the team. You will have direct reports and you will be responsible for their development and work load. You will also be responsible for prompt presentation of final accounts, monthly cost value reconciliations and all management of sub-contractors.
You will also be providing support to the contracts management function within the company as well as the procurement element.
The right candidate will be from a civil engineering contractor background with a stable career history. You will ideally be qualified to degree level, but we will consider candidates with a HNC/HND and relevant experience. Highways experience is desirable but not essential. You must be compute literate and be confident in negotiation situations.
