Description
Our client, a global telecommunications provider require a Team Leader to lead the DBA and Application Support Team, providing a service to a local go
ernment body based in Chelmsford, Essex. An excellent understanding of application support is required, as are communication skills as this role will require the candidate to meet and interact with customers, 3rd party suppliers, PMs and all of the teams associated with this account. Responsibilities will include supporting the App/DBA/System Admin teams and maximising application availability to achieve set SLAs and Customer Satisfaction. They will also be required to produce quarterly assignment reviews, manage the team headcount and budget and lead regular team meetings to review performance and issues. Initially there will be a primary focus on establishing a 100% database of all applications and then leading the first phase of the Configuration Management Database. An appreciation of the following technologies/systems would be advantageous; Oracle databases, MS SQL Server, ASP2.0, Progress and Sybase Databases. Applicants with the ITIL Foundation and Service Delivery Module certificates would stand in good stead to fulfil this role. This position is initially on a 6month contract based in Cheltenham in Essex and applicants must be in Cheltenham 5days per week.
