The role requires someone who ideally has experience of Plant Maintenance, and an understanding of how CHP Plants work would be a definite benefit. We actively require a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Power Station in Fawley, Southampton. The role requires someone who ideally has experience of Plant Maintenance, and an understanding of how CHP Plants work would be a definite benefit. Role could suit someone with a Mechanical or Electrical background.
You will be involved in hands on Maintenance, Fault Finding and Repair on a modern Power Plant, working with machinery such as Boilers, Turbines, Overhead Cranes, Grabs, Pumps, Fans, Mechanical Drives & Assemblies, 415 VAC Motors & Pumps. The role may suit someone from a Marine / Navy Engineering background, and requires the individual to work as part of a team, ensuring the plant operates correctly and has minimal downtime.
You should hold a relevant Engineering Qualification, or be studying towards one, and it is important that you can work safely to Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines. This is a permanent position based in Fawley, Southampton, Hampshire, paying in the region of £24-29k + 10% Annual Bonus + Healthcare + Life Assurance + an excellent Pension scheme.
