We currently have an Maitenance technician vacancy for a London based rail Client. This is an excellent opportunity for Technical and Electrical Engineers to gain experience working to develop and maintain HV, LV and DC traction power electrical distribution systems.
"Assist the Operations & Maintenance Manager in meeting maintenance targets on time and in budget.
"To provide operational cover both in and outside normal office hours during times of sickness, holidays and other periods.
"Assist the Operations & Maintenance Manager in maintaining the very best in client relationships.
"Maintenance of the 11kV and 415V Distribution System, and Basic testing of HV and LV protective devices, and associated administration.
"Competent to carry out planned substation inspections.
"Conversant with Manufacturers maintenance regimes.
"Comply with EDF Energy Maintenance regimes.
"Competent to supervise contractors.
"Competent in basic workshop skills.
"Technical qualification (ONC in electrical power engineering or City & Guilds part 232 or equivalent).
"Competent Person under the EDF Energy Distribution Safety Rules with onward progression to achieving Authorised / Senior Authorised Person status desirable.
"Computer literate in MS Office software applications.
"Self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision.
"Experience in distribution systems.
"Hold a current and valid full UK driving licence.
"Be generally healthy and fit to perform duties.
"Attend and contribute to team briefings, give feed-back where necessary.
"Ability to work in different environments, including confined spaces and at height.
"Ability to communicate effectively.
"Team player.
"Basic H&S Safety awareness. H&SAWA.
"Ability to work as individual or as part of a team.
"Be self-motivated.
