Description
Maintenance Technician Accountable to the Production Manager the post holder will be required to carry out the following:-
•Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic machine faults.
Maintenance Technician Accountable to the Production Manager the post holder will be required to carry out the following:-
•Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic machine faults.
•Support production through proactive preventative maintenance
•Identify, specify, collate and prioritise machine issues that require financial spend approval
•Collate competitive costs for maintenance repairs and present/agree with the Production Manager
•Work unsupervised, planning organising and implementing agreed maintenance plans
•Work to tight deadlines in line with production demands
•Be flexible and work additional hours if necessary
•Have sound social and technical communication skills, building relationships with external suppliers
Candidate qualities
The ideal candidate should be apprenticeship served, preferably in mecatronics with a good standard of education preferably to HND standard with at least 2-years post-apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop environment. Experience of maintaining milling and turning multi axis machining centres will give a distinct advantage.
