COMPANY INFORMATION:
Our client is a major, multi-sited, food and beverage manufacturer with an enviable category presence, operating numerous sectors within the food and drink industry. They are now seeking a Factory Engineer/ Maintenance Manager to join their senior management team.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
The experience to lead engineering activities on the site, ensuring efficient production through maintenance of assets, assured technical capabilities and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Graduate or NVQ4 equivalent in electrical engineering, or HNC with supervisory or project engineering experience.
•Incorporated Engineer preferred
•Managing safely and Intermediate food hygiene
•People Management Experience
•Experience of operating utilities plant and project management
•Practical electrical engineering experience including legislation
•Previous experience of control engineering preferable
ROLE INFORMATION (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES):
Manage all aspects of the site physical assets throughout their life cycle.
Apply full planned maintenance principles in accordance with group maintenance strategy.
Promote health and safety awareness and compliance by the staff and contractors and ensure
appropriate risk assessments and working systems are in place.
Create, implement and manage both maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for the
factory, utilising company methodology and Group support to achieve the factory and business
requirements.
Use 5S and other continuous improvement tools to identify areas for improvement and establish
targets to ensure that the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the
needs of the business.
Ensure that the engineering workforce is appropriately recruited, trained and managed.
Act as first point of technical support for Operations and Shift managers.
Optimise the use of external resources, both the company and contract suppliers, to assist in the
achievement of factory KPIs while ensuring that key process expertise is retained in house.
Manage site facilities, ensure that statutory compliance is adhered and performance standards
are at such that best practice is applied for the environmental impact and continuity of supply.
