Our Client is the UK subsidiary of a large US based group operating within the Aerospace and Power Generation manufacturing industry. Products are complex high precision cast/machined airfoils fitted to gas turbines used in power generation and aircraft propulsion. They have the requirement for a Multiskilled Engineer / Fitter to work a 3-shift pattern which is offering an excellent salary.
Our Client is the UK subsidiary of a large US based group operating within the Aerospace and Power Generation manufacturing industry. Products are complex high precision cast/machined airfoils fitted to gas turbines used in power generation and aircraft propulsion. They have the requirement for a Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to work a 3-shift pattern which is offering an excellent salary and training to become Multi-skilled. The role covers repairs/installation, reacting to breakdowns, fault finding / diagnosis, trouble shooting and PPM on the production machinery and large CNC machines. Initially mechanically biased, this position will support electrical training to become Multi-skilled.
Skills and Experience:
Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Qualified in relevant technical discipline to include Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Fitting, plus some basic experience in Electrical or Electronic engineering.
In addition to this, possessing electrical qualification such as HNC, city & guilds, 16th edition or similar is advantageous.
Responsibilities will include reacting to breakdowns, fault finding/diagnosis, trouble shooting, fixing, repairing, performing (PPM) planned preventative maintenance on the production machinery, large CNC machines.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals drawings/fault finding flow charts.
In house plant maintenance.
General duties within factory facility as seen fit. Flexible/willingness to complete task set.
Reporting to an Engineering Manager.
Some out of hours work and weekend cover.
Applicants must come from a maintenance based engineering background in a manufacturing/production environment.
