Maintenance Engineer
Coventry
Salary £22,248.

Shift premiums: 6-2 additional 12%, 2-10 add 16%, 10-6 add 20%
Overtime: Weekday T+25%, Sat T+50%, Sun T+75%.

Job Profile
The Maintenance Operative will be an integral part of the Maintenance team, which supports the production department in achieving their targets in line with customer requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
•Repair and refurbishment of Press Plant, Assembly and Paint Plant machinery in the most efficient manner, to minimize downtime and maximize OEE;
•Identify spares stocks to ensure breakdowns are covered, that no parts situations are minimized and that critical spares are available;
•Advise on selection of materials/purchased parts and machinery to support work required;
•Identify process and method improvements and cost saving opportunities to appropriate personnel;
•Advise and train other maintenance operatives as required, assist in TPM training;
•Assist in the specification of new machinery;
•Work overtime as required;
•To act in a safe manner and highlight any health and safety risks;
•To ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard;
•To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the companys quality requirements;
•Any other Ad-hoc duties as required.

Characteristics and Requirements
•Time served skilled, preferably to HNC level with a good basic level of education;
•Skilled in both the mechanical and electrical functions;
•3 years minimum maintenance experience, including PLCs, automation and assembly and paint equipment;
•FLT driving licence preferred;
•Excellent knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, including fault finding analysis;
•Knowledge of equipment/spares specifications;
•Computer literate;
•Strong attention to detail;
•Ability to work under pressure to tight time scales;
•Self motivated and task orientated;
•Strong team player;
•Able to use initiative.
