PURPOSE OF ROLE

To work with the engineering team to provide mechanical and electrical support throughout the Factory.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To work with the engineering team to provide mechanical and electrical support throughout the Factory.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintenance & Repair of Plant and equipment

Repairing where possible faulty equipment within production
Organising external contractors to repair equipment if necessary
Overhaul of smaller pieces of machinery
strip-downs and re-build smaller items of equipment
Dealing with utility supplies mains electric & gas

Fault diagnosis

Identify problems with plant machinery differentiate between mechanical or electrical failure
Once fault identified take corrective action


Project work

Given specific project to work on eg over haul of machinery
Looking at the efficiency of the machinery we have, and offer ideas / solutions
Design solutions for on-going problems

4. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Previous relevant experience within Food Manufacturing desirable
IT Skills basic Word, Excel, Outlook

5.TRAINING REQUIRED TO COMPLETELY FULFIL THE ROLE
Gas safety
Basic Health and Safety
Basic Food Hygiene
