MULTI-SKILLED ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
North Wales
Reporting to the Electrical and Instrument Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and calibration of a wide range of instrumentation, control and electrical equipment. This position involves, investigation and resolution of plant and equipment problems, inspection and calibration of site instruments and systems, testing of process PLC's, repair and overhaul of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, testing and inspection of hazardous area equipment, isolation of electrical equipment under permit to work systems and making safe HV systems
You will be a time served Instrument Technician with a current certified qualification in the IEE requirements for electrical installation 16th Edition. You will be qualified to at least ONC/OND/HNC Instrumentation & Control and
you should have post apprenticeship experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical or Pharmaceutical industries. An enthusiastic team worker you must be willing to adapt to new skills and practices, and possess a good working knowledge of process computers/PLC's. A 'COMPEX' qualification in hazardous area inspection would be a distinct advantage
