A leading engineering company in the Aviation industry are looking for a Mechanical Repair and Overhaul Sales Manager to manage existing and potential customers in the UK and overseas markets.
This position is ideally suited to a successful sales candidate in the aviation, helicopter markets, with UK and International sales experience. The company if a reputable organisation with excellent scope for career progression.
Principle Accountabilities:
Direct customer liaison including visits, correspondence and telephone contacts in respect of all aspects of past and present and future sales potential.
Review of existing customer business to define and realise potential new business opportunities
Detailed ongoing analysis and understanding of territory to define and realise potential new business.
Develop and act on territory sales activity plans.
Provide pricing proposals and quotations in response to customer RFQs or for unsolicited submissions.
Propose potential new repair capability opportunities to develop the repair business.
Provide regular visit reports to management
Provide content to and assisting in the preparation of management reports for both the Company and the Customer.
Attend Trade Shows and Exhibitions as requested.
Liaison with accounts department to assist with debtor queries so invoices are cleared.
To work with the sales team to meet objectives to increase performance and to meet or exceed budgets and profitability.
The person:
Graduate calibre with aerospace/aviation background and employment history. Particular knowledge and understanding of the MRO aspect of the airline, business aviation and helicopter (EMS, offshore, private) markets.
Technical aerospace/aviation background with professional sales training and overseas sales experience. Proven successful sales track record in the above market(s).
Able to take a strategic and analytical approach to identifying and winning new business based on existing capability and potential capability from existing and new customers within defined regions.
Able to compile and manage proposals.
Able to work remotely but within a team, good organisation and communication skills are required.
Self motivated, proactive, professional, honest, dependable, flexible, determined, able to work effectively with minimum supervision. High levels of hard work are expected in this role.
Able to arrange own travel plans within a budget, including booking travel and accommodation. Extensive UK, and overseas travel will be required.
Computer expertise in Microsoft Office.

The role is based at our clients offices in Middlesex and would work a standard 37 hour week. The salary for the role is 40k-45k + Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance of 4 x annual salary, 25 days holiday a year, Company Sales Incentive, Company Car and Private Healthcare.
