Are you seeking direct customer contact as an Application Specialist, working as part of a Professional Services team on innovative leading edge projects in the Oil and Gas industry? Wishing to learn all about new innovative software products?
Keen to join the start-up branch of an overseas owned, established company?
Now's your chance! In this exciting role as Applications Engineer you will grow your analytical skills and be trained to become a specialist in a highly sought after software package (using the latest WEB, .Net and SOA architectures).
Our client is looking to recruit people with good customer facing skills to gather and analyse their requirements, put together a solution, draw up specifications, and assist with the configuration of their leading software products. The role entails designing solutions to meet customer needs based on their products.
Candidates will require the following experience:
•Have performed software requirements gathering/analysis in a customer-facing role.
•Understand modern IT, SOA, Database, .NET, communication technology, and security issues.
•Have good database skills (writing SQL statements, etc.)
Candidates should have the following attributes: Great interpersonal, verbal, and written skills; enthusiasm to learn; analytical mind; methodical personality and really enjoy their work.
It would also be advantageous to have experience /knowledge of the oil and gas industry, or process industries. Experience using Oracle or SQL Server databases; configuring Windows IIS applications (creation, modification, security setup) and programming and or Web knowledge (HTML, JavaScript, XML, C#) would also be desirable for this role.
These positions offer the potential to travel both in the UK and overseas. These are permanent positions.
