MECHANICAL ENGINEER / PLANT ENGINEER (DIRECTOR DESIGNATE)
Consolidate Ltd is a specialist ground engineering contractor based in Livingston, West Lothian with contracts throughout Central Scotland and the vision to become a national one stop foundation shop. We operate a mixed fleet of Casagrande, Boart and older Halco/Krupp drills together with bespoke grouting equipment.
Due to the impending retirement of our current Plant Manager and in consequence of the expansion of the business we require a Graduate Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer to take on this key post in our Management Team, to lead the plant/ workshop division and meet its challenges.
Our ideal candidate will be ambitious, innovative, technically robust, commercially astute and have a can do attitude:
•A leader, with good people management skills at all levels
•A team player, able to work on own initiative
•An excellent communicator, well organised with good computer skills
•Able to interrogate mechanical, hydraulic and automotive based electrical problems, fault find and effect the solution or know where to obtain the solution
•Able to effect the design of or evaluate proposed design options for new equipment
•Able to lead the self build development or project manage the commissioning of that new equipment
•Prepared to become conversant with all relevant standards and legislation
•Always looking to continuously improve working practices, efficiency of operation and cost effectiveness
•Able to manage the plant function within its budget
Based at our Livingston office and workshop complex you will be required to travel to sites, to meet suppliers etc regularly so an expensed car or car allowance will be part of the attractive remuneration package on offer including 33 days holiday, bonus scheme, company pension and other benefits. Relocation expenses would be available for the right candidate.
