MECHANICAL ASSOCIATE ROLE WITH EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITIES

Our client has an urgent requirement for an Associate with a Mechanical bias to join their busy and expanding team.

This role is to work as part of an engineering team, taking a leadership role in project work, focused on delivery to the client and mentoring and coaching junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities
• Work with client & design team to assemble a design specification compliant with the employers' requirements, agree its format and content, and monitor and review its preparation ensuring delivery by the due date.
• Clearly define building requirements and purpose of use with senior team member to allow detailed design.
• Co-ordinate and attend pre-qualification interviews.
• Review tender documentation and authorise tender issues, review tenders received and advise client on appointment of contractor, and liaise between disciplines on multi-functional tenders.
• Lead the design process and encourage the rest of the team to deliver appropriate and cost effective solutions to the agreed programme; support those more inexperienced by technical review, mentoring and advice.
• Identify and exploit opportunities to win business, and referrals from existing and new clients, including generating and following up leads from project teams, and monitoring the quality of work to maximise repeat orders.
