My London based rail client is currently seeking a experienced Project Manager to administer all aspects of prestigious M&E contracts across their business, including London Underground and East London Line. My London based rail client is currently seeking a experienced Project Manager to administer all aspects of prestigious M&E contracts across their business, including London Underground and East London Line. The Candidate will be accountable for ensuring works are carried out safely, to the highest standard, within cost and time and programme constraints.
You will have proven experience within the LUL primarily, although similar environments may be considered. You will be a team leader with accountability for the successful delivery of projects in accordance with customer specific requirements, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Assurance requirements, deliver the project in accordance with cost, margin, and time budgets. Ideally you will have dealt with NEC contracts in the past being able to liaise with commercial staff on contractual issues and ensure best value is derived.
Agree with HSQE Assurance Manager which activities require review by the Project Manager. Ensure a strategy is in place for the achievement of the Project Margin Target.
Report on a monthly basis to the Operations director and Company commercial Manager against agreed budgets (turnover, cost, margin, cash WIP, accruals).
Planning
Carry out a detailed weekly review of the contract programme with the Planner, reviewing the effects of compensation events on programme, and ensure the benefit is maximised. Enrol the customer into the revised programmes, and obtain agreements/approvals.
Subcontractors
Establish appropriate relationship within key subcontractors/suppliers to ensure works packages are delivered. Review status of subcontractor's progress and account weekly, and action any disputes to ensure resolution.
HNC/HND qualified in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline. (Electrical bias preferred but not essential)
