A leading aerospace manufacturer in the South West of England is looking for a Logistics/Project Engineer.
The task will be to retrieve from electronic systems, or CDs or hardcopy filing systems information provided by vendors detailing the shelf life constraints on items supplied. A technical review needs to be made of the information supplied and identification of actions required when shelf lives are reached. The information will be recorded in spreadsheet format or loaded to the SAP system and the document will be indexed on SAP.
Ideal candidate will be familiar with the concepts of shelf lives and subsequent actions required and will be able to make the appropriate technical decisions on how the information should be treated.
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining design approval documentation (i.e. Declaration of Design Performance (DDP) or Certificate of Design Air Form (100A) for Bought Out, GFE and CFE equipment fitted in accordance with MoD(PE) procedures for UK military aircraft and CAA/IR procedures for UK civil aircraft.
Where records are incomplete to initiate correspondence with approved equipment suppliers to ensure company equipment approval criteria are understood and to establish acceptable and agreed timescales for the provision of the necessary documentation.
