Logistics Operative (Stock Controller)
Mission
To provide the timely and accurate compilation and delivery of kits, consumables, as required items and raw materials to production, assembly, integration and test areas and to support current and future programmes through the rationalisation of legacy project stock holdings by the relocation of such to a more appropriate and cost effective location in accordance with company procedures.

Skills required for the job
Numeracy.
PC literacy.
Experience of inventory control and kit assembly and distribution in an MRP environment.
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
Ability to work to ISO9002 and ISO14001 standards.
Ideally an NVQ in Distribution and Warehousing.
Working knowledge of MM & WM stock transactions in an Electronics environment.
Main Activities
To withdraw and re-locate project banded ranges of inventory in accordance with appropriate authorisations and procedures this may include the physical handling of equipments.
To liaise with key stakeholders as necessary to ensure effective communications and responsiveness in respect of holding factors.
To provide timely and accurate compilation and delivery of kits, consumables, as required items and raw materials in accordance with appropriate authorisations and procedures this may include the physical handling of equipments.
To ensure the accuracy and availability of inventory by performing Cycle Counting and Shelf Life Control processes in accordance with the business system Operating Procedures.
To liaise with key stakeholders as necessary to ensure effective communications and responsiveness in respect of holding factors.
To record all inventory movements in a timely and accurate manner using the business system.
To advise immediate manager of concerns, attitudes, situations, etc, which may affect the smooth running of the business.
To ensure that the operational environment conforms with ISO and Health and Safety standards.
To ensure that reasonable steps are taken to safeguard the health and safety of all staff and visitors to the areas.
To carry out any reasonable task assigned by immediate manager.
To work in any other area on a temporary basis as reasonably assigned by immediate manager.
You may be required to work outside of normal working hours (possibly callout, Bank Holidays, weekends and/or shift).
