Logisitics Controller for this defence organisation to take responsibility for the The day to day management of all aspects of Manufacturing Logistics, including Goods-Inwards, Stores, Customer Owned equipment, Shipping and Inspection.All applicants should be aware that they must meet MOD Security Clearance Criteria for this position.
The role will be based in Bedfordshire and is commutable from Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Stevenage and Hatfield.
Key responsibility areas:
Processing of received goods.
The effective through put of all materials through goods in and inspection, in line with the agreed Service levels and Processes Inventory management.
Ensure that ensures inventory accuracy is maintained in line with the agreed business requirements.
Identify and implement disposal of redundant inventory as laid down by business processes and in line with financial drivers.
Maximize storage medium efficiency.
Shipping.
The timely and accurate processing of all outgoing deliveries, ensuring that all packaging is fit for purpose before goods are despatched. Inspection.
Ensure accurate and timely inspection of all incoming deliveries as per agreed SLA s.
Ensure all goods are inspected to the criteria laid down on purchase orders and company procedures.
Management and Leadership:-
Provision of appropriate levels of resource to meet Business requirements.
Development of all Logistics resource, to meet Business needs.
Management and Leadership of the above team, including all relevant SHE issues and financial planning/control.
Technical Skills:
Good MRP/ERP understanding as well as excellent process awareness. Good all-round computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications. SHE awareness. Ability to forecast and control costs.Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is useful.
