We have an urgent requirement for a competent and professional Linesman / Electrician to satisfy the following requirements:
General works associated with construction, maintenance or refurbishment of electrical and telecoms distribution and transmission systems. Safe working accordance with employer health and safety policy and procedure. Proper use of PPE on site at all times. Co-operation with employer management representatives, with other employees and with team leader on site including taking instruction. Productive and efficient working on site. Minimisation of downtime and travelling time. High standard and quality of work undertaken and completed on site. Care of employer's transport, plant and specialist equipment. Liaison and good relations with employer's clients, general public and landowners. Co-operation with training requirements.
It is essential that applicants have the following competence and experience:
1.Working on electrical distribution networks up to 33Kv.
2.Working knowledge of electrical switchgear operation.
3.Working knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
This position is based in Bedfordshire, UK and eligibility to work without restriction in this location is preferred. There will be travel to various sites across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. A full UK Driving Licence is also preferred.
Salary: Up to £30,000, subject to relevant experience and qualifications.
