The purpose of the role is to take accountability for testing on the project. Agree test strategy with the Test Team Leader, to include consideration of unit, integration, system and UAT SAT & E2E testing
Ensure the project follows the core test principles. Scope and estimate test activities for a project, write test plan and test report. Attend project progress and change control meetings. Maintain quality target/standard. Provide weekly status reports to the Test Team Leader, also analyze requirements and design documents.
Design test cases/Write test specifications/execute test specifications. Technical & professional skills skills/knowledge:
essential knowledge of software testing life cycle. Knowledge of test design methods. Manual test execution experience desirable. Experience testing products with Embedded software and GUIs. ISEB/ISTQB foundation certificate in software testing. Data communications protocols e.g. IP telecoms background.
