Accountable for the accuracy and on-time delivery of work packages within budget in accordance with VPI, VPC or CAG processes as applicable.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that all engineering designs, data and documentation produced conform to the Company's current practices, National and International standards, codes and legal requirements; including, where applicable, EU Directives. Accountable for the accuracy and on-time delivery of work packages within budget in accordance with VPI, VPC or CAG processes as applicable. Accountable for ensuring that all engineering designs, data and documentation produced are fully compatible with the Company's worldwide documentation and quality systems currently in place or being introduced, such as part numbering, drawing vaults, QSi, etc. Responsible for producing, evaluating and completing DVP&R programs to the required Company standards to support VPI, VPC and CAG products. Maintain detailed knowledge of Company engineering and other applicable procedures, standards, codes and legislation relevant to the client product range. Maintain detailed knowledge of the Company's VPI and VPC processes. Responsible for engineering content of assigned VPI, VPC or CAG programmes. Accountable for ensuring that all designs are given due consideration for manufacture and assembly and be actively involved in make vs. buy decisions. Participate in regular design review meetings for projects and assignments and ensure these are documented appropriately using the Company's QSi system.
Experience Required
Demonstrable experience in a relevant technical position, preferably in a power generation related design environment in an appropriate discipline. Essential good PC skills with experience of PC or Workstation drafting package such as AutoCAD or Pro-Engineer. Ability to work on own initiative essential with good problem solving skills with experience of communicating at all levels internally and externally
Education/qualifications required
Preferred engineering degree (BEng/BSc) or equivalent in a relevant subject with NVQ4 desirable. Consideration will be given to candidates with minimum BTech Higher National Certificate or equivalent with relevant experience with NVQ3 desirable. Alternatively applicants with membership of a recognised professional technical institution or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, acquired through career appraisal or other recognised assessed route will also be considered
