Lead Electrical Engineer

Working for a large Contractor constructing a new Water Treatment Plant offering unique technology for the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to be an important part of a team delivering a ground breaking project from inception to completion. A great opportuity to lead and manage large subcontract packages and be instrumental in the successful delivery. Great career opportunity. A flagship project.

Key duties for the Lead Electrical Engineer include:-

- Responsible as the figurehead for Electrical works on site.
- Working with Designers.
- Cordination of subcontractors.
- Regular contact/communication with the client.
- Management of sub-contractors
- Technical expertise in the placement of sub-contractors
- Vetting of sub-contractors
- Planning, programming and forecasting for electrical aspects of work
- Quality Assurance, and maintaining records for the same
- Engineering design and approving sub-contractor designs in line with specs.
- Attending site progress meetings
- Producing reports on progress
- Co-ordination of electrical works with specialist designers
- Liaising with QS and Project Manager on financial impacts of project
- Technical assistance to Project Manager
- Client liaison and correspondence
- Ideally an understanding of budget control and conditions of contract
- Some water/sewerage treatment works experience an advantage.
