Our client is a world market leader in the development of filtration systems, there has arisen an exciting opportunity for a Lead Development Engineer at their site in Alton.
Being from an engineering background with 5 years experience, the ideal candidate will be qualified to degree standard in a Scientific or Engineering discipline, have provable experience in managing multiple projects, experience in Microsoft tools and good communication skills at all levels.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
"Lead larger product development projects
"Definition and supervision of the construction of new test rigs, defining new test procedures and carrying out some testing.
"CFD analysis
"Keeping up-to-date with technical advances
"Responsible for providing fully engineered solutions for all assigned projects
"Ensure design meets all applicable standards and specification requirements
"Perform project design / status review for each technical area of assigned responsibility
"Provide technical interface for both internal and external customers
"Liaison with Design Engineers, Drawing Office, QA, Suppliers and Customers
"Assist in the development and monitoring of project schedules
"Tracking and Prioritising resolution of project action items and critical technical issues
"Development and management of project technical strategy to mitigate risk, including decisions involving the use of conceptual engineering judgment to allow the design process to proceed without full information
"Management of project technical documentation including internal documents, and technical correspondence
"Mentoring of sub-contract / junior engineers
"Provide technical leadership
"Challenge / update existing processes and create new processes to improve efficiency
