Description
Lead Configuration Engineer is required by this leading defence organisation. This role will require the successful candidate to undergo a full MOD security clearance check and must therefore meet current security criteria. Location is Herts/Beds/Bucks commutable.
Required to support the company Team Leader to deliver effective and on time configuration management service. The job entails the delivery of CM process improvement to the Project and work share partners, strong and proactive team leadership and strong CM decision making is therefore required together with significant experience in a similar role..
Experience of Configuration Management and Operations processes more important than formal qualifications. National Defence Industrial Association (NDIA) certification to Configuration and data manager (desirable)
Key responsibility areas
Lead the team in the delivery of configuration management process.
Encourage the development of team members and their contribution to process improvement.
Ensure adherence to the requirements of CM Plan by Project staff and any Sub-Contractors, Partners, suppliers via regular audit and reviews, and to chair work share partners CM forum to recommend and deliver process improvement.
Provide CM input in to both LRI and System level Change Board.
Support the programme in the completion of internal and external FCA/PCA & process audit.
Support the Configuration Management function in the development of EW CCO in to a world class CM service.
Act as deputy to EW Configuration Lead in respect to EW specific CM activities.
