Our Client, a multinational blue chip oil refinery and chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Laboratory Technician ideally with process industry experience e.g. Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, onshore oil & gas.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Quality Assurance, experience of analytical techniques and knowledge of LIMS and Microsoft Office. You should have good communication skills, the ability to plan work effectively with minimal supervision and the ability to adjust work plans to meet changing priorities in a busy production environment.
Main responsibilities will include the completion of wet testing analytical techniques, testing samples in accordance with test and quality procedures. Ideally candidates should have experience of wet testing techniques including UV, X-Ray, IR (InfraRed), titrations, viscosity etc. Experience of spectroscopy and or GC (Gas Chromatography) would be ideal but not essential.
Candidates should be qualified to a minimum HND in Chemistry.
