Matchtech are recruiting for a Key Supplier Manager on behalf of a FTSE100 utilities organisation, based in Birmingham.
Reporting to the Category Manager of the Information Services team, you will own a portfolio of contracts and the associated supplier relationships. You will manage supplier performance and internal key stakeholder perceptions to drive mutual benefit, value and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
You will identify key suppliers and high risk spend areas and develop strategies to effectively manage market influences and supplier relationships.
You will understand and challenge customer requirements and expectations, and identify and deliver future savings and efficiency opportunities.
You have strategic purchasing experience within a regulated environment and a demonstrable record of achieving recognisable savings through negotiation. You have proven supplier and customer relationship development skills, together with the ability to influence at all levels, challenge conventions and implement change. You also have a good understanding of contractual, legal and insurance terms.
It would be an advantage if you have experience of purchasing IS/IT, but not essential.
Ideally you are MCIPS qualified (or studying towards) and degree educated.
