Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of electrical and fibre-optic, connection components and solutions for harsh environments (aerospace, military, autosport etc.). They have the requirement for a Key Account Manager, to maintain and develop sales of products within the South East. You will be required to manage and develop major accounts and achieve targets in order to maximise sales potential for the Company's products.

You will be required to manage and develop major accounts and achieve targets in order to maximise sales potential for the Company's products. Candidates should have an engineering background and proven sales record.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
•To develop, agree and achieve within designated area annual sales budgets with appropriate Business Development Managers and Area Sales Manager.
•Every month provide Area Sales Manager with a three month rolling sales forecast.
•To develop and maintain business at Key Accounts by following on Project opportunities, defending the accounts from competition, networking key decision makers (both engineering and commercial) and through the Company, meeting account service needs.
•To agree and execute Key Account and Project strategies with the appropriate BDM and Area Sales Manager. Report on key account and project activity in line with the strategy on a monthly basis.
•To develop and report on New Business Opportunities in the designated area.
•To penetrate and develop Target accounts as agreed with the Area Sales Manager and appropriate Business Development Manager. Target account activity to be reported on a monthly basis.
•To review and report on business activity within a market segment to the appropriate BDM every quarter.
•To liaise daily with the Sales Desk and co-ordinate key and target account activity within the designated area.
•To achieve a good level of technical knowledge of all products and keep abreast of new product developments.
•To maintain customer visit rate in accordance with agreed Company guidelines.
