Our UK based client is looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join their team up in the North East of England

Junior Engineers are responsible for the following aspects of work produced by the project team under their control:

Technical correctness and accuracy
The content in accordance with agreed scope
The monitoring of changes to the agreed scope
Quality Assurance and control
Use of correct standards and procedures.
General functions of Junior Engineers include, but are not limited to:
Health & Safety (see separate documents)
Preparation of estimates and quotations
Attendance on sales visits and meetings
Attendance at client office/site visits
Attendance at courses etc.
Reporting to Project Managers, Project Engineers and Directors as required.

Duties:-
Preparation and issue of project documentation
Preparation and issue of project specifications and standards
Maintenance and control of project filing system
Assistance with monitoring and costing of changes
Attendance at project launch/contract review meetings
Assistance with preparation of programmes of work
Reporting on progress
Assistance with client liaison on engineering matters
Assistance with technical liaison with other functional departments, sub-contractors, suppliers etc.
Assistance with Monitoring and control of material and equipment purchasing
Assistance with approval of all documentation produced by the project team, sub-contractors or suppliers
Assistance with inspections and testing
Attendance at specialist meetings eg. P&I review, HAZOP
Assistance with design review
Calculation checking
Checking suppliers invoices
Assist with the cost monitoring and control
Assistance with site supervision and commissioning.
