Java Software Engineers required for major government programme based in Middlesex.

Currently inviting applications for Java Software Engineers to work on major government defence/security programme based in Middlesex. Candidates will be responsible to the Technical Lead for full lifecycle software development using Java.

Candidates should be of degree calibre with demonstrable expertise in full lifecycle software development. Excellent Java knowledge and skills are essential for this position.

Other activities include:

Designs, develops, codes and unit test each software element of the common services architecture.
Works closely with the test harness software development team establishing an interface to ensure that the development responds to the project needs.
Establishes strong relationships with the programmes customer, key stakeholders, subcontractors, and US counterparts.
There will be formal project meetings and working groups and so candidates must be comfortable with collaborative working to develop an overall solution.
Ensures that all engineering activities undertaken under their control are conducted to a common standard that reflects best practice, and are in accordance with CMMI.
