International Business Development Manager
Reporting directly to the Head of International Business Development, this person will be responsible for developing the business with international military organisations around the world.

Reporting directly to the Head of International Business Development, this person will be responsible for developing the business with international military organisations around the world.
The role will consist of a mixture of Marketing, BD and Sales responsibilities and primarily have a responsibility to generate new revenue for the company, but also to develop and grow the company s profile and reputation.
The IBD Manager will be set a number of annual (and longer term) revenue and profit targets. The IBD Manager will be given full responsibility for a small number of key accounts and be expected to support other accounts and members of the team on an ad hoc basis as required.
The IBD Manager will be responsible for gathering and interpreting customer technical, programmatic and commercial requirements and aligning them with the specifics of the Corporate offer.
The succesful candidate will be required to make presentations to customers on a regular basis. Write and manage win strategies and manage the preparation of proposals (in response to customer requirements or unsolicited) with the assistance of technical and commercial support as required.
The IBD manager will be responsible within the team for all market analysis and competitor analysis and must therefore be comfortable with investigation and reporting responsibilities.
The IBD Manager will support exhibitions and shows as required to target specific customer bases and nations.
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential:
Degree qualified (technical type degree preferred, sales and marketing acceptable)
Excellent communication skills - report writing, presentations and proposals
Driving license
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages, especially Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
Language skills would be advantageous but not essential (French and German most useful)
Ability to travel (Europe, North America, RoW)
Desirable:
Time management, strategic thinking, highly self-motivated.
Must be able to work in a team as well as on own. You will be working with significant autonomy and decision-making capabilities.
Previous Experience
Essential:
Key role in a sales team or a business development organisation - market sectors should cover Satellites, communications services or defence and government sales. Ideally in all three. Proven ability to work with government or institutional clients.
Ability to manage a customer relationship from start to finish and to capture the business.
Candidate should be familiar with the workings and constraints of a telecommunications environment, which could be either in satellite communications (preferably Fixed Satellite Services) or other communications company.
Desirable:
Technical understanding of satcoms or other technical experience
Candidate should not necessarily have specific military experience (ex-forces), although this would be a benefit if all the other criteria are satisfied.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
