A leading engineering company in the automotive and aerospace industry are looking for a Business Development Executive to manage key accounts in the Pistons business unit..
This Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities whilst continuing to develop existing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
-Work with the Business Unit Leader and the Sales Director, to translate strategic objectives into short, medium and long-term business opportunities.
- Use market knowledge and experience to merge the BU's high-level business strategies with new opportunities.
- Conduct research to identify potential customers within a wide range of piston applications. Understand our competitors and how the company should be positioned to win new and repeat business.
- Develop specific business proposals for approval by the BU leader.
- Work with colleagues to compile financially sound proposals for presentation to potential customers.
- Liaise and negotiate with potential customers to secure new business that meets the needs of both the company and the customer.
- Maintain customer relationships by continuing to identify their needs and requirements, identifying and delivering opportunities to secure new business and improve service.
- Develop and maintain the customer files to ensure communications are recorded.
- Load sales orders onto SAP ensuring accuracy of customer requirements.
- Produce and maintain accurate forecasts for various piston markets.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, that can present information effectively and professionally to potential customers and management. Further you will have the ability to interpret, use and draw valid conclusions from business statistics, management reports and financial information. The ability to define problems, collate data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate decisions. You will be of graduate calibre with a solid background in Business Development in the automotive, aerospace or similar industry and a good financial and commercial understanding.
The salary for the role will be aprox £30k+ 15% bonus, pension, and excellent scope for career progression.
