A specialist distributor of fibre optic products are looking for an Internal Sales Engineer to join there accredited Sales Team.
Our client a specialist distributor of Fibre Optic products and manufacturer of Fibre Optic Cable Assemblies throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. They offer a comprehensive range of products for both the telecommunications and data communications markets from leading manufacturers, plus our own value added services. Their product range includes Attenators, Cables, Connectors and Test Equipment to name but a few. They are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to aid in the selling of their products.
This position would ideally suit a candidate who is able to demonstrate a track record of industrial sales within the Electronic industry.
This position will be office based and is located in Tonbridge, Kent.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Preparing and sending quotations
- Taking orders over the telephone and calling inactive accounts (warm calling, the company generally doesn't cold call).
- To produce a forecast at the end of each Month for expected order bookings for the following Month from the territory that the sales person is responsible for.
- To keep a log of all orders lost with the reason of losing the order to be discussed at Sales meetings.
- To follow the company's operating procedures in accordance with ISO9001
- To meet sales targets.
Essential requirements for this role are that you have a good proven track record in Internal Sales within a related Industrial sector and the drive and determination to go that extra mile to deliver to the customers. An understanding of fibre optics and related products would be very beneficial.
Ideally you will already have gained experience in a similar role within the fibre optics industry.
The basic for this position will be £22k - £25k (depending on level of experience) plus a commission scheme based on achieving sales over target threshold. There is also a great scope for you to develop your career in Sales.
