If you have an engineering qualification plus some work experience and would like to work in a role that would involve communicating with customers.This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career. Working for this specialised company, part of a well established International group, your role will involve the organisation and aid in the support of the management of their existing accounts which include well established global organisations. Previous experience in a similar role is not essential as long as you have strong technical aptitude and the ability to build relationships with customers.
The role will be very much focused on developing new business within existing customer accounts and grow these accounts accordingly.
The candidate will be expected to support, maintain and develop company sales as follows:
- Responding professionally to incoming sales calls.
- Preparing quotations and literature for customers.
- Maintaining quotations, samples and loan logs.
- Liaise with and offer support to external sales force.
- Resolve customer problems relating to pricing, supply, product selection.
- Maintain customer files and records.
- Maintain and update price lists as required.
- Proactively call databases to generate sales leads.
- Record/update information on database.
- Pass leads to Sales Office Manager in a structured manner.
To apply for this position you must have a technical qualification to at least a HNC level. Previous technical work experience would also be required. The candidate must be outgoing with good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
There is a fantastic scope for career progression within the company and the basic salary is 18 - 22k (depending on level of experience) with the possibility of a further 8k OTE.
