Intermediate / Senior Electrical Design Engineer - City Centre
Purpose of Job:
Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer to work within existing Building Services team in London design office based in the city centre. Applicants would ideally be degree qualified and have attained or be working towards chartered engineer status and should be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience in a similar role.

Purpose of Job:
Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer to work within existing Building Services team in London design office based in the city centre. Applicants would ideally be degree qualified and have attained or be working towards chartered engineer status and should be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience in a similar role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Intermediate Position - duties relating to our business including:
Provide input on design strategy and conceptual design relative to electrical installations.
Undertake design calculations relevant to the design of electrical installations within major building projects.
Design electrical installations including the production of design drawings, diagrams and schematics along with project specifications and schedules.
Design electrical installations to meet all existing, relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
Design electrical installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements.
Work as part of a team to meet project brief and programme requirements.
Aspiration to move from Intermediate position to Senior position quickly
Senior Position - duties in addition to the above, including:
Lead an M&E team in the co-ordination and delivery of individual projects, including attendance at meetings, internal programming, project reviews, etc.
Manage client and design team relationships. Understand client needs and interpret and confirm the project brief.
Provide assistance and support to other members of the engineering team within the office. Undertake constructive peer reviews of other designers projects.
Demonstrate a wide knowledge and relevant project experience of electrical systems across a range of sectors.
Have an understanding of mechanical engineering systems and the ability to report on both disciplines during meetings, etc.
Training Programme requirements:
Commit to goals and objectives of career development programme including attendance of in-house and external technical and non-technical training.
Commit to achieving or maintaining Chartered Engineer status through relevant professional institution.
Support the same for other members of the engineering team, including mentoring.
