Assystem UK as the Master Vendor to a Global Vehicle manufacturer based in Bedfordshire are offering long term contracts for Automotive Trim Engineers to support their Clients new and existing vehicle programmes within Interior Trim. The Automotive Component Trim Engineers will be working on Interior Trim projects as the technical interface between Client and Supplier, with the key activities being:
Problem solving
Fit and finish Workability issues
Part quality
The Interiors Engineers will also be required to interface with internal departments including Body Group, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance etc. Skills Required:
Trim Engineers will have good general interior trim or exterior trim / systems or plastics knowledge, coupled with knowledge of how to interface with associated components such as wipers, bumpers, mirrors, or handles
The Trim project engineer may have Launch engineering experience at a major OEM dealing with supplier issues around their components / systems
Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering design
Significant experience will be considered in lieu of Degree level education
Graduate Engineers with a relevant engineering degree, coupled with around 2 years industry experience in relevant role will be considered
