Description
We are currently looking for an Instrumentation Technician for an on-going contract to work for a world renown Automotice Consultancy.
Wiring, test experience and working from drawings is essential.
This position of Instrumentation Technician will involve:
Manufacture and installation of test rigs and various types of measurement probes, transducers and flowmeters.
Control and data logging of the enngine under test. Configuration of the software interface, test bed, commisioning and sa

This position of Instrumentation Technician will involve:
Manufacture and installation of test rigs and various types of measurement probes, transducers and flowmeters.
Control and data logging of the enngine under test. Configuration of the software interface, test bed, commisioning and safety checks.
The installation, set-up, fault finding and repair of a range of specialist engine test instrumentation including :
Smoke Meters
High speed data loggers CAS Indiset DSP
Torque meters,
Oil consumption meters
Dyno control systems
Thermal survey equipment
OEM specific diagnostic equipment, ATI Greddi
ASAP3 dSpace
PID controllers and associated control valves
37.5 hours per week with overtime available (all hours will be paid at a basic rate)
