Key skills & experience: Previous experience
We are looking for an Inspector to work for an Aerospace company based in Fareham.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Inspect electrical/electronic/mechanical components, sub assemblies and assemblies against current issue drawings and parts lists
Carry out functional testing of sub-assemblies and final instruments
Assist the quality assurance function in completion of First Article Inspection requirements and defect investigation and analysis
Issue internal release documentation and act as a CAA-designated signatory for external release documents as required
Correctly check WIP where required
Support Engineering department with inspection of prototype boards and sub assemblies and witness the testing of completed engineering units as required
You must have the following skills:
Experience of working within an electronic environment
Experience of final good release, components, sub assemblies and general assemblies
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or equivalent standards
Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications
Computer literate with operational skills of e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet packages
You must of had previous experience in working as an Inspector within an Electronic environment. It is desired to be from an Aerospace industry.

Job Related Experience:
Experience of working within an electronic environment
Experience of final goods release, components, sub assemblies and general assemblies
Knowledge of IPC A 610 or equivalent standards
Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications
Computer literate with operational skills of e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet packages
Experience of data entry, particularly Excel spreadsheets
Have good eyesight (corrected if necessary) and able to pass Jaeger Eye Test to N4 requirements
Demonstrate ability to be accurate, paying attention to detail
Experience of goods in process and final inspection
Desirable:
Experience of electro mechanical inspection
Knowledge of civil and military aircraft component engineering and manufacturing environment, standards and requirements
Understanding of EASA form 1 (JAA form1) for new build, repair and development units
Experience of First Article Inspection
Experience of failure investigations and corrective action
