Our client is a Consultancy providing Systems Engineering Services, Technology Services and Human services across Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Local Government, National Government, MOD and Private industry.
Information Assurance and Systems Security Consultant - CLAS, CISSP, C4I, Defence, IPTC, DOORS.
Responsibilities Shall Include:
System design analysis.
Security architecture analysis and design.
Preparation of Requirement Specifications, Plans and Specifications for Subsystem testing.
Liaison with the system accreditor, and subsequent production of the necessary accreditation document set and supporting evidence for system accreditation and operational security policy.
Bringing together system requirements and security requirements to produce cohesive system security architectures to meet accreditation requirements.
Preparation of System Integration Specifications including Codes of Connection and Interface Control Documents.
Advice to the customer on areas such as System Evaluation & Health Checks, COMPUSEC, COMSEC & TEMPEST.
Essential Skills Required:
CLAS or CISSP Certified Security Consultant, or with sufficient IT security experience to gain these qualifications quickly.
Cabinet Office Infosec Training Paths and Competencies Scheme (IPTC) registered in support of CLAS.
Thorough knowledge of communications and IT systems.
Ability to understand and handle complex multi-domain system architectures.
Knowledge of interoperability and system connection requirements.
Knowledge of system accreditation procedures in the MoD, public and private sectors.
Understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
Knowledge of security rules and regulations in various marketplace sectors - public, governmental, commercial and defence.
Understanding of requirements management.
Information management techniques and business processes
Desirable Skills:
Understanding of SMART procurement.
Knowledge of Domain Based Security Techniques.
Knowledge of Technology areas such as IP, VoIP, PKI, Identity Management, SOA etc.
Requirements capture and management in tools such as DOORS.
Knowledge of Crypto Systems and their management.
TEMPEST investigations and protective requirements.
Knowledge of military C4I systems and supporting doctrine.
Personal Attributes:
PC literate: As a minimum Microsoft packages.
Educated as a minimum to either Degree or equivalent level; however experience can be taken into account.
Solid experience in communications and IT systems with system security experience.
Full mobility essential.
