Part of a very large US Corporation, with an annual turnover of $5 Billion, our client is a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of Automated Materials Handling solutions. Due to organic growth they currently wish to recruit and Implementation Engineer.
Reporting to the Installation Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of system delivery including pre-installation works, mechanical, electrical, cabling and computing equipment implementation. Duties will include taking responsibility for the receipt of equipment on site, supervising sub-contractors and commissioning equipment; helping to design and perform test schedules to fully test system components; and to take part in acceptance tests with the customers as well as providing service or maintenance support once the project has finished.
The successful candidate will have an electrical / electronic engineering qualification and have a good understanding of electrical / computing engineering and have proven technical competence particularly in the use of IT.
Experience of word processing, spreadsheets, Access / SQL Databases and AutoCAD is also essential. It is also a requirement that you are willing to work away from home for extended periods (c one month away out of two, (will be able to return home at week-ends)).
