IT Network Interface Manager
Role Purpose:
To Manage Network Interfaces across the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network within the corporate Environments to ensure business functionality and continuity is maintained within defined SLA'S and Budgets. Whilst contributing to the wider Network and IM teams.

To Manage Network Interfaces across the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network within the corporate Environments to ensure business functionality and continuity is maintained within defined SLA'S and Budgets. Whilst contributing to the wider Network and IM teams.
Accountabilities
Management of suppliers of both the Local Area Network and the Wide Area Network and its interconnections to provide end to end connectivity within the Networks.
Managing Move Adds Changes and Deletions (macds) activity in support of Front Office Domain ensuring 3rd party has provisioned appropriate network connections at the desk, covering Data / Voice and Video connections
Interfacing with IM Domains for network project activity according to Operating Level Agreements (OLA'S)
Management and reporting of the network service with 3rd party suppliers.
Network Topology
Network Availability (LAN / WAN)
Network Performance
Network Monitor SLA's
Network Diagnostics / Fault finding
Management of the Data Equipment Rooms across all corporate sites in the UK and managing the 3rd party suppliers to ensure adherence to the processes to maintain patching records and follow security and health and safety guidelines.
Liaise with Network Security Manager for security related activities cover patching firmware updates to specified timescales given by Security
Management and definition of structured cabling requirements within the company with agreed security constraints and to company standards.
Ensuring cabling standards are CAT5e copper and Single Multimode fibre
Managing International Interconnects across the company International WAN with security appliances and the associated connections.
Bandwidth management and provisioning for site connectivity - allocation across Network classifications identifying and approving changes. with the approval of the UK Head of Networks.
Interface with BO Data-centre manager for provisioning within Data-centers of network services to support BO and IS activities.
Manages, Administers and reviews the Asset Management systems (for both the company and external 3rd parties) ensuring estate records remain relevant for billing and maintenance.
Skills and Knowledge
Experience of providing connectivity for both WinTel, and UNIX client and server environments encompassing Storage and Backup requirements for Multi-site and medium-sized business exposure (essential).
Full understanding, and can explain Cisco Technologies / Topologies for Implementation and Support
Can explain and give examples of own experience of IT security technologies providing network protection from intrusion.
Previous experience of managing business process and organisation
Good Interpersonal skills including Written, Verbal and Presentation skills
Experience of Supplier liaison
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
